Let me tell you, it has been an extremely long and very slow drive,… not for the faint hearted.

For 10 days solid we did nothing but get up, drive,(sometimes in the dark) find dinner, (cooker not working) sleep and drive again. 75 -80% of the way is spent doing less than 50 kms an hour, due to such badly pot holed roads, town boundaries, which go on long after the town has finished, and the all important slow up HUMPS, of which there are hundreds. 2017 African adventure begins...!!

G’day everyone, yes we are now sitting in our friends home here in South Africa, preparing ‘Huberta,’ our new camper for the next 4 months of travel.

We will leave here in about a week or so, head up to Kenya via Botswana, Zambia, Tanzania before reaching Kenya and our Kikuya & Maasai family and friends there around the beginning of June.

The Long drive home.

A very BELATED  update here... but....Back on the road, and like we said, we changed our mind about going home down the middle through to Ayres Rock, and instead opted to visit to Nat and Ina in Queensland, just a mere 1000km detour..... or that is what i thought!!!         In actual fact,  it was an extra 3000kms detour to get to their place in Brisbane,.... but still,  a very good choice, cause we also saw lots of other interesting thin...

Flying from Greece back to London via Munich, making a short flight longer, we got a hotel right next to Heathrow airport. (yes it was well sound-proofed)!!
